Description:

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting offers for a qualified contractor or individual to purchase, pack, load and remove approximately 30 truck loads of various types of surplus tree waste (tree trunks, limbs) and brush from the Hyslop St. Public Works storage yard in Chatham, ON.

All offers are to be presented in writing on the specific form provided for this quotation, which can be obtained by contacting the Chatham-Kent Public Works Department by email at ckpw@chatham-kent.ca. You do not have to register with bids&tenders to submit an offer.

Offers will be accepted by Chatham-Kent Public Works prior to 1:30 p.m. on the January 12, 2024, deadline. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will not accept quotations after this deadline.

Viewing:
A Mandatory Site Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2024, beginning at 8:00am.
All interested parties will meet at the Public Works storage yard at 416 Park St., Chatham.
Attendance will be taken via a sign-in sheet and the Bidders' List finalized from those in attendance, prior to the meeting starting. Once the meeting has started no additional Bidders/Contractors etc. will be permitted to sign in to the meeting. Bids will not be accepted from a Bidder/Contractor who does not attend the Mandatory Site Meeting.

Inspection and Pick-up:
Pick-up by the successful bidder is by appointment only. Buyers who do not have an appointment will be refused access to the site. Pick-up will be allowed from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. unless alternate arrangements are made.
Additional comments:
• When picking up the lot, please ensure you have the proper vehicle(s) for the materials and the required labour.• The buyer must make all transportation arrangements and pay all costs incurred.
• Any third-party individuals sent by the buyer to pick up the lot must have an Authority to Release signed by the buyer.
• All sales are final. No purchased material may be returned and no requests for reimbursement in whole or in part will be accepted.
