The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting proposals for the development of transitional and affordable housing solutions to address the growing need for such accommodations. The project involves constructing small individual cabins or tiny homes, inspired by Waterloo’s Cabin project, to provide non-congregate style living spaces. These units will support life skills development, independent living, and self-sufficiency, with on-site support services available. This initiative is a collaborative effort among the Municipality, community organizations, and private sector partners to create lasting positive change and enhance residents' well-being.
