Introduction

The purpose of this project is to migrate water, wastewater and storm sewer data from ESRI’s Geometric Network to ESRI’s Utility Network. Proponents should be able to demonstrate that their solutions are able to achieve the following project goals:

  1. Develop a scalable and high-performing model that is designed to deliver large amounts of information quickly.
  2. Model real-world behavior and connectivity of water, wastewater and storm sewer components.
  3. Represent complex assemblies such as treatment, pumping, storage, and flow control facilities using ESRI’s containment model while preserving Niagara Region’s asset location hierarchy.
  4. Enforce data integrity and reduce data entry errors.
  5. Streamline the maintenance and integration of Local Area Municipal water, wastewater and storm sewer information.
  6. Improve operational awareness through the configuration and deployment of the Utility Network Trace widget for water, wastewater and storm sewer infrastructure.
