The Public Utilities Commission for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting proposals for consulting engineering services related to undertaking preliminary design, detailed design, tendering, construction administration, start up and commissioning, and post construction phase assistance for Chatham WPCP - Outdoor Sludge Storage Tank, Transfer Pump Station, and Transfer Pipeline project.
The scope of work includes an above grade sludge storage tank (approximately 85 Cubic meter), a transfer pump station consisting of three (3) VFD controlled pumps (factory assembled pump skid package will not be allowed), a 75 mm diameter HDPE transfer pipeline (approximately 750 m in length), an associated outdoor control panel, and required mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. The transfer pipe line will be installed using directional drill method.
The Chatham WPCP consists of 2 plants; Plant 1 and 2, and the existing raw sludge pumps of both plants are located inside the tunnels. These pumps transfer the raw sludge from the primary clarifiers to the existing digesters. As part of the proposed project, the existing discharge piping from the raw sludge pumps will be tapped and get connected to the new raw sludge piping, which will in turn direct the sludge flow to new sludge storage tank.
