Description: 

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting proposals for to engage a qualified and experienced firm to enter into a five (5)-year Management Agreement for the operation of the Convention Centre. The selected proponent will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the Convention Centre, including but not limited to marketing, event management, custodial services, facility maintenance, catering services, administrative functions, and day-to-day operations.
The operational model envisioned through this RFP is one whereby the facility remains owned by the Municipality, while being managed as a self-contained and self-operating business unit on behalf of the Municipality by a third-party contractor.
The Convention Centre features:
• An Expo Hall comprising approximately 25,000 square feet
• A Ballroom of approximately 7,500 square feet
• Seven (7) additional meeting rooms, ranging in size from 400 to 2,000 square feet, collectively accommodating events for 10 to 1,800 guests
