Riverview Gardens Nurse Call System Replacement

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Riverview Gardens, is looking to replace our existing nurse call system with a new system. Riverview Gardens is a 320 bed Long Term Care Home with six floors and 260,000 sq. ft. of space. Five floors contain the living area for resident rooms with each floor consisting of two pods of 32 resident beds per pod. Our existing system is an Edwards Maxivox Nurse Call System which is now obsolete. We are looking to replace one pod of the call system to start with immediately, and then continue to replace the rest as budget allows.

Attached is a schematic of the layout of one pod of rooms as well as a total floor plan. All floors are exactly the same with the main cable room being room 49 on each floors wing.

Riverview Gardens will be looking for the following:

·  Sustainable for 15 plus years

·  Integrates with existing Connexall system which includes pagers, fire and door alarms

·  Main base station at each of the nurse stations, East and West on five floors

·  Approximately 32 Patient stations, 36 Pull cord stations and 2 Audio only stations per pod

·  Dome lights in front of every room indicating a pull station or call bell is active along with red indicating light for fire

·  Must follow Municipal Technology Standards

o  Microsoft Windows 2016 or later

o  VMWare vSphere 6

o  Secure LDAP

o  Oracle 12c or Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (or later)

o  GO-ITS Standards (https://www.ontario.ca/page/information-technology-standards)

o  Support Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome Web Browsers.

·  All systems are subject to ITS review. Further information maybe requested.

·  Estimated cost per pod

·  Estimated time to complete a pod

·  How long will pod be without nurse call system when ready to switch over
